Lake Bluff Ribfest

The 17th annual Lake Bluff Ribfest was a smashing success. Held on Saturday, October 5, the event brought together rib lovers from the local area to compete for the coveted and supersized trophy, and bragging rights for the year.

Lake Bluff Ribfest chooses one nonprofit as the beneficiary of the People’s Choice Award every year. The money raised this year was awarded to Beef4Hunger. Over $3,300 will go towards providing fresh beef meals for food pantries and America’s hungry.

Votes were cast in $1 increments and Beef4Hunger’s own team, Sticky Fingers, came out as the crowd favorite, bringing in $499 for their team in the People’s Choice Award competition. The support of community members for Beef4Hunger and the city itself filled the afternoon with fun and plenty of meat!
